The University of Toledo men’s basketball team, fresh off two conference road wins, has hit its stride, winning six of its past seven games.
The Rockets (18-4, 6-3 MAC) earned a tight 66-63 win at Miami on Tuesday, and backed that up with a 69-55 win at Northern Illinois to take over first place in the MAC West. The only blemish in the past seven games is a tough overtime loss at Kent State.
“I think defensively we continue to excel and get better,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said. “We’re winning right now, but we are not necessarily making the shots that we are capable of.
