During each University of Toledo football practice, players and coaches don’t have to search hard for reminders of Jahneil Douglas.
In fact, just over three months after Douglas was killed, all they have to do is look at one side of the helmet of the player next to them to see his jersey number, 54.
“We all got together and talked about some things we could do for him,” defensive end Jamal Hines said. “The helmet decals were one of them.”
Hines was particularly close with Douglas, who was shot and killed on July 7 in Toledo.
