UT establishes running game against Elon

University of Toledo football coach Jason Candle has said he wants his offense to be balanced. Even with senior quarterback Logan Woodside running the offense with a talented group of receivers, Candle and his staff recognize the importance of establishing a run game.

Against Elon, Toledo ran the ball 41 times for 239 yards and passed the ball 34 times for 314 yards. Being that the game was a blowout for most of the second half, it lent itself to more rushing attempts for the Rockets.

At 5.8 yards per carry, Toledo found success with a mix of three running backs.
