Last season, University of Toledo defensive end Jamal Hines surprised many teams with his ability as a pass rusher as a freshman.
A year after he had nine tackles for loss and three sacks and was named a Freshman All-American by the Football Writers Association of America, Hines has been the center of attention this season for opposing offenses as they gameplan for the Rockets.
“Freshman year, I was just out there playing and making sure I was getting the playbook and everything down pat,” Hines said.
“I was out there and thinking I have to show people something and that I'm something and like they have to watch out for me when I step out on that field.
