UT announces official’s contract won’t be renewed

The University of Toledo announced Monday the impending departure of its vice president and chief human resources officer, whose contract will not be renewed when it expires in February.

Jovita Thomas-Williams will leave UT when her contract ends Feb. 28.

A UT spokesman said notification of the decision not to renew her contract was given Monday in order to abide by a 90-day notice required in her employment agreement.

During the next three months, Ms. Thomas-Williams has taken on what UT described as “a temporary special assignment assessing the overall capability profile of the human resources function.
