Toledo has its new athletic director.
Washington State deputy director of athletics/chief operating officer Bryan Blair will take over the UT athletic department on May 1, industry sources have confirmed to The Blade.
After an exhaustive national search that began in October, President Gregory Postel, with help from the search firm Collegiate Sports Associates and a university search committee, tabbed the Washington State deputy athletic director to replace Mike O’Brien.
Austin Peay AD Gerald Harrison and Purdue associate AD Tom Moreland were the other finalists. Harrison announced Monday that he would remain at Austin Peay, though sources told The Blade that Blair and Moreland were the top two candidates.
