TOLEDO, Ohio — Head Coach Tricia Cullop added to the Rockets' roster on Wednesday when she announced that Tyra Carlsten-Handberg will transfer to Toledo from UIC. Carlsten-Handberg will become eligible to play for UT in the 2018-19 campaign and has three years of eligibility remaining.
"We're excited to add Tyra to our team," Cullop said. "She gives us needed depth at the post position. Tyra runs the floor well, uses her length to disrupt shots defensively, and possesses three-point range. She's also an exceptional student and is the type of person who will mesh well with the strong chemistry we have that helped propel us to a MAC championship this past year.
