DeKALB, Ill. – Sophomores Stephanie Currie and Brooke Stonehouse scored goals in the final 25 minutes to lift Toledo to a 2-0 victory at Northern Illinois on Sunday afternoon. The Rockets controlled play for much of the contest, registering a 10-3 shot advantage as redshirt freshman Emma Boutorwick notched her first collegiate shutout.
"I was proud of how aggressive we were offensively today and that's what we needed to come away with a road win," Head Coach TJ Buchholz said. "Our defense was also very strong led by Emma in goal and our entire defensive line.
