YPSILANTI, Mich. – The University of Toledo baseball team defeated Eastern Michigan 16-10 on Tuesday evening at Oestrike Stadium to earn a series split with the Eagles.
The highlight of the night for Toledo was its 12-run third inning, during which 16 batters came to the plate and the first 10 hitters of the inning reached base safely.
"It was good to continue swinging the bats well today," head coach said. "We did what we needed to, which is to win the game. Once again everyone in the lineup contributed to the big 20-hit day. Now we go on the road to Northern Illinois and need to keep playing well.
