TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo quarterback Tucker Gleason was named to the Davey O'Brien Award's "Great 8" for Week 5, it was announced on Monday.
Gleason earned the award after a stellar performance under center in Toledo's 45-3 Mid-American Conference victory over Akron on Saturday. He turned in a 16-of-19 performance for 237 yards and three touchdowns, adding another score on the ground.
All four total touchdowns came in the first half, where Gleason went 15-for-16 passing to help the Rockets build up a 35-3 lead. He also set a career high for completion percentage at 84.
