CLEVELAND, Ohio – Toledo infielder Troy Sudbrook has taken the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, after closing the regular season with a monster weekend at the plate, the league office announced Monday.
Sudbrook finished the week with a .667 average and a 2.066 OPS. He was 8-for-12 with two home runs, 10 RBIs, eight runs scored and two doubles. He had multi-hit, multi-run and multi-RBI efforts in Toledo's weekend sweep over Central Michigan.
Sudbrook started off the weekend with a 3-for-4 day with two home runs, five RBIs and four runs scored in Thursday's 21-3 rout, the first multi-home run game of his career.
