Former Toledo Rocket JT Shumate is set to take the first steps of his professional basketball career by joining the Toronto Raptors for the NBA Summer League.
Toronto’s official Summer League roster has not been announced, but the Toledo men’s basketball team included the 6-foot-7 forward from Newark, Ohio, in a social media post congratulating three former Rockets on Summer League squads. The other two are Setric Millner, Jr., who signed with the San Antonio Spurs earlier this week, and Ryan Rollins, who will be on the Washington Wizards’ Summer League squad.
