For University of Toledo sophomore quarterback Eli Peters, his first career start, a 52-36 win over Bowling Green, may end up just being a spot start.
Toledo starter Mitch Guadagni is battling back from a concussion that forced him to miss the Battle of I-75 game on Saturday. On Monday, Rockets coach Jason Candle was optimistic that Guadagni could get in full practices early in the week and be ready for a game at Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
“I think if we get some good practice out of him early in the week, which we weren’t able to do last week, then that would lead me to believe that he would have the opportunity to go compete and go play,” Candle said.
