University of Toledo junior Kaayla McIntyre has been named Mid-American Conference West Division player of the week, the conference announced Tuesday.
McIntyre averaged 16.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game in three games last week.
The Toledo native led the Rockets in scoring in each game, shooting an efficient 58.3 percent (21-of-36) from the field and 58.3 percent (7-of-13) from the free-throw line.
She opened the week scoring 14 points, matching a career-high with 13 rebounds, and adding three blocks at St. Bonaventure on Monday. Two days later against Duquesne, McIntyre totaled 14 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
