Toledo's Eli Peters gaining more confidence as season progresses

As the season progresses, University of Toledo quarterback Eli Peters is becoming more and more comfortable with the Rockets’ offense.

In four games this season, Peters is 52-of-88 passing for 665 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions. He is coming off a game against Northern Illinois in which he was 26-of-38 for 300 yards and three touchdown passes.

He has filled in admirably for injured starter Mitch Guadagni.

“Yeah, for sure, and I think that goes for any position, not just me,” Peters said of his growing confidence.

“A lot of people are getting thrown into roles right now and they are getting more reps.
