Athens, Ohio - The Toledo Swimming and Diving team are sitting in seventh place with 100 points after day two of competition at the 2017-18 Mid-American Conference Championships in Athens, Ohio. Akron leads the competition with 292.5 points, followed by Buffalo with 223.5 and Eastern Michigan with 221.
Head coach Jonas Persson was disappointed with today's score, but he was proud of the individual effort and improvements he saw from his team.
"Today was a tough day, but we had some great swims," Persson said. "We have a young team and a great culture, but we haven't created a culture that's ready to compete with teams like Akron, Eastern, Buffalo and Miami; but we'll get there.
