Toledo Women's Tennis Posts 24-6 Record in Block E Invitational

YPSILANTI, Mich. – Toledo women's tennis kicked off the fall season with the Block E Invitational this past weekend, winning 24 matches, the most of any school in the tournament.

The Rockets finished the event with a 16-4 team singles record and an 8-2 team doubles record. Every Rocket that played won either a singles or doubles group.

The event was hosted by Eastern Michigan and was made up of a five-team pool that also included Oakland, Youngstown State and Bowling Green. The teams were split up into nine singles groups and four doubles groups.

The Rockets won five of the seven singles groups that they competed in with undefeated first-place finishes from freshmen Anastasia Akuginova, Isabella Barretto, and Iva Jankovic, and sophomores Neha Guru and JJ Scholten.
