MADISON, Wisc. – The University of Toledo women’s soccer team saw its season come to an end at the hands of Wisconsin in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday.
Toledo held the game scoreless at halftime, but could not contain the Badgers in the second half as Wisconsin pulled away with a decisive 5-0 victory.
Grace Douglas led the Wisconsin charge with two goals, while Lauren Rice, Alli Winterfield, and Jordan McNeese were the other goal-scorers for the Badgers.
Toledo freshman Madison Perrin made seven saves in the game, but ultimately the Rockets could not withstand the pressure from Wisconsin as the Badgers fired 24 shots with 12 shots on goal.
