PHOENIX — The University of Toledo women’s golf team turned in a six-stroke victory at the Grand Canyon Invitational to give new coach Jenny Coluccio her first tournament title.
Seniors Pimchanok Kawil, Pinyada Kuvanun, and Natcha Daengpiem led the Rockets to the victory by finishing in the top 10 of the tournament standings.
Kawil placed fourth with a 2-under-par 214 (71-72-71), Kuvanun tied for fifth at even-par 216 (69-74-73) and Daengpiem finished ninth at 4-over 220 (72-73-75).
Toledo junior Saranlak Tumfong tied for 57th with a 232 (73-78-81) and junior Thunpijja Sukkasem tied for 66th with a 233 (79-75-79).
