Toledo women's cross country team 28th at NCAA championship

STILLWATER, Okla. — The University of Toledo women’s cross country team finished 28th out of 31 teams at the Division I NCAA cross country championship meet on Saturday on the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course.

The Rockets, ranked No. 17 the coaches poll, totaled 654 points in their fifth championship meet appearance in program history, and first since 2014. North Carolina State, the defending champion, won the team title with 114 points, led by individual champion Katelyn Tuohy (19:27.7).

“It's been truly a great year and an important step for our program to get back into the national championships for the first time in several years," third-year UT coach Andrea Grove-McDonough said in a statement.
