AKRON — Quinesha Lockett had 20 points to lead the University of Toledo women's basketball team to a 73-70 win over Akron on Saturday at James A. Rhodes Arena.
The Rockets (17-4, 11-1 MAC) got 19 points and 10 rebounds from Hannah Noveroske, and 15 points and 11 rebounds from Sophia Wiard.
Jordyn Dawson paced the Zips (9-8, 6-5 MAC) with 26 points and nine rebounds, and Reagan Bass had 11 points.
Toledo trailed 65-61 in the fourth quarter with 5:17 remaining.
Toledo took the lead back at 66-65 when Noveroske made a layup with 3:02 left.
