The University of Toledo women’s basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 74-62 victory over Saginaw Valley State in an exhibition Wednesday at Savage Arena.
Toledo held seven point leads at the end of the first and second quarters. The Rockets were up 22-15 after one, and carried a 39-32 lead into the locker room.
Alexa Hocevar paced Toledo with eight points by halftime. Ella Weaver and Evalyse Cole added seven points each at the break.
The contest remained close into the second half, with a Weaver 3-pointer giving the Rockets a 53-49 edge heading into the fourth quarter.
