LONG BEACH, Calif. — A dominating middle two quarters helped University of Toledo’s women’s basketball team cruise past winless Long Beach State 64-43 on Monday in a nonconference game at LBS Financial Credit Union Pyramid.
The Rockets (5-5) used a 14-6 edge in the second quarter to take a 26-20 halftime lead, then blitzed Long Beach State 19-6 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 19. Toledo made 7 of 12 shots from the floor and 4 of 6 free throws in the third after making just 11 of 30 shots in the first half.
Faith Fedd-Robinson had 12 points on 6 of 10 shooting and four rebounds, while Miriam Diala also tallied 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting to lead the Rockets.
