COLUMBUS — For a half Sunday, the University of Toledo women’s basketball team gave No. 21 Ohio State a challenge at the Schottenstein Center.
A four-point game at the break, however, turned the Buckeyes’ way in the second half, with Ohio State taking control for an 85-60 victory.
Turnovers — and points off turnovers — ultimately gave Ohio State the edge. The Buckeyes scored 41 points off Toledo’s season-high 31 turnovers. Twenty-one of those points came in the second half.
“They cranked up the pressure and we got a little lax with our cuts and our sharpness,” Toledo coach Ginny Boggess said.
