OXFORD, Ohio — The University of Toledo women’s basketball team was outscored 21-15 in the fourth quarter in falling to Miami (Ohio) 63-55 in a Mid-American Conference game on Saturday at Millett Hall.
The Rockets (6-6, 1-1 MAC) used a 21-12 advantage in the second quarter to trim a 10-point first quarter deficit to one at halftime. The RedHawks (10-4, 2-0), however, turned a two-point lead after three quarters into a 10-point advantage on multiple occasions in the fourth in coming away with the win.
Toledo committed 27 turnovers, which led to 26 points for Miami. It was the third time this season the Rockets had at least 27 turnovers.
