In early March, Tricia Cullop got a phone call from Danielle Donehew, the executive director of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, informing her that she was the recipient of the 2022 WBCA Carol Eckman Integrity in Coaching Award.
Cullop was first surprised by the honor and then deeply humbled to be presented with an award that spotlights a coach who exemplifies courage, ethical behavior, honesty, sportsmanship, and a commitment to players.
“I wasn’t anticipating winning any awards,” the Toledo women’s basketball coach said. “I was actually just looking forward to going to the convention. I was just very honored.
