Tricia Cullop proved last year that when she has her sights set on the transfer portal, she can reel in a big catch.
In need of a second point guard this offseason, Cullop went back into the portal and came away with someone who comes Chuck Ealey-approved: Long Beach State’s Justina King.
The graduate transfer is from Ealey’s home country of Canada and is family friends with the Rocket legend.
Now, she’ll try to make some history of her own.
“Toledo offers so much more than just [winning], but that was huge,” King said. “I didn’t want to join a rebuild.
