Perhaps the final piece of the University of Toledo women’s basketball roster puzzle was added on Friday, as George Washington’s Miriam Diala committed to the Rockets.
The 6-foot-1 forward from Germany averaged three points and three rebounds in 12 minutes per game for the Colonials. She shot nearly 60 percent from the field.
Diala represented Germany at the 2024 FIBA U20 Women’s EuroBasket, the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup, the 2022 and 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship, the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup, and the 2021 FIBA U16 European Challengers.
She joins a transfer class that includes Western Michigan center Evyn Carrier, Indiana University Indianapolis’s forward Alexa Hocevar, Towson guard Patty Anumgba, and Kirkwood Community College forward Lizzy Puot.
