One year after failing to qualify for the Mid-American Conference tournament, the Toledo women’s basketball team is undefeated at the quarter-pole of the MAC schedule following Wednesday’s 74-49 annihilation of Central Michigan.
UT held the Chippewas scoreless for the final 5:12 as they missed their last eight shots. The Rockets limited CMU to less than 30 percent shooting and three of 21 from 3-point range.
Toledo (11-3, 5-0) is one of two teams with an unbeaten record in the MAC. (Buffalo is 3-0.)
“This is a special team, for sure,” said UT guard Jayda Jansen, who scored 14 points.
