Three University of Toledo seniors — Kaayla McIntyre, Mikaela Boyd, and Sarah St-Fort — have played a large role in the Rockets’ recent dominance of the Battle of I-75 rivalry with Bowling Green.
Toledo hosts Bowling Green on Saturday looking for its seventh straight win in the series, meaning the Rockets’ senior trio could finish their careers without a loss to their rival.
“I know that is a goal of ours so that they can walk away from their careers saying that,” Toledo coach Tricia Cullop said. “I will say it’s not going to be easy. I told [Bowling Green coach ] Robyn [Fralick] that I really felt that they were a possession or two away from a very different record.
