LAS VEGAS – The University of Toledo women's basketball team fell 71-64 to Troy on Thursday afternoon in the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic at South Point Arena.
Nakiah Black notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds for Toledo (3-6), and freshman Quinesha Lockett added 12 points of her own.
Kayla Robinson scored 21 points to lead Troy (8-2), and Jasmine Robinson added 18 points.
Toledo trailed 19-10 after one quarter of play and 39-27 at halftime. The Rockets outscored Troy 17-12 in the third quarter to cut the lead to 51-44, but Troy maintained its edge as both team scored 20 points in the final quarter.
