University of Toledo women's basketball coach Tricia Cullop challenged her young team with a tough non-conference schedule in hopes of being ready to face the rigors of a Mid-American Conference season.
Unfortunately for Toledo, that tough schedule has produced three straight losses after the Rockets fell 83-76 to Memphis on Sunday afternoon at Savage Arena.
After a home loss to Dayton and a close call at Notre Dame, Toledo (1-3) could not get past the big and athletic Tigers (3-3).
“This is the second game in a row that I thought we played well enough to be in the game and have a chance to win, but not well enough to finish out the game,” Cullop said.
