Fresh off a layup that gave the University of Toledo women’s basketball team back the lead midway through the third quarter, sophomore Tanaya Beacham raced down the court in an effort to track down an errant pass that sailed over her head.
Careful to keep her feet inbounds before her leap, Beacham extended toward the stands and saved the ball back to a teammate on a play that eventually resulted in a Tatyana Davis layup.
It was one hustle play in a game full of them, but it came at a key time as the Rockets took control from that point on in 65-52 win over Duquesne on Sunday at Savage Arena.
