Toledo women beat UT Arlington 80-70 at Daytona Beach Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The University of Toledo women's basketball team topped UT Arlington 80-70 on Saturday in the Daytona Beach Invitational to give coach Tricia Cullop her 300th win with Toledo.

Junior Sammi Mikonowicz, a Rossford alum, paced the Rockets with a career-high 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Quinesha Lockett had 19 points, Khera Goss scored 13, and Jessica Cook had 12 points.

"UT Arlington is a really good team, I have a lot of respect for [head coach] Shereka Wright," Cullop said in a release. "They play really hard, they're a scrappy team, and their press bothered us at times.
