Box Score Rock Hill, S.C.— The University of Toledo baseball team scored three runs in the top of the ninth to win a wild game at Winthrop on Friday to kick off the 2019 season.
UT took an early lead, but the Eagles scored twice in the sixth and twice in the seventh to go ahead, 4-2. But the Rockets stormed back in the top of the ninth, tallying three runs to take a 5-4 lead. Winthrop loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth to make things interesting, but UT held on to move to 1-0 on the season.
