That was the University of Toledo’s general response Friday when asked about its football game against Notre Dame on Sept. 11 moving from nationally televised NBC to its streaming platform Peacock and its price tag of $4.99 per month. It will be the first time a streaming service will have exclusive coverage of a Notre Dame football game.
Notre Dame made the announcement Wednesday afternoon, and it quickly drew the ire of Toledo fans on social media.
UT associate athletic director for communications Paul Helgren said the Rockets aren’t concerned about the switch.
