The University of Toledo football team outlasted Nevada for a 63-44 shootout win on Saturday at the Glass Bowl.
Toledo quarterback Mitch Guadagni threw four touchdown passes and rushed for two more in the victory.
Toledo opened the scoring when Guadagni hit Jon’Vea Johnson on a 38-yard TD pass on the second drive of the game.
Nevada answered on the next drive when quarterback Ty Gangi rushed in from 1-yard out on 4th down to tie the score at 7 with 6:44 left in the opening quarter.
Toledo took back at the lead at 14-7 with a blocked punt by Desmond Phillips that was scooped up and taken into the end zone by Reggie Gilliam.
