Wilmington, N.C.— Toledo took an early, five-run lead over UNC Wilmington and held on to defeat the Seahawks, 5-3, in non-conference baseball action on Wednesday evening.
UT scored all of its runs in innings four, five, and six to take a 5-0 lead. UNCW plated three runs in the bottom half of the sixth to pull within two, but the Rockets stood strong to improve to 5-5 on the season.
Senior was terrific, tossing four shutout innings and striking out two, and fellow senior threw 2.1 scoreless frames. At the plate, senior and junior each had two hits and sophomore drove in a pair of runs.
