TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team's outstanding 2023-24 season will continue as the Rockets will host Cleveland State in a first-round game in the postseason Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament (WBIT) on Thursday, March 21 in Savage Arena (ESPN+). The game time will be announced tomorrow.
The 32-team WBIT field was announced Sunday night with regular-season Mid-American Conference Champion Toledo (26-5, 17-1 MAC) earning an automatic bid and a No. 2 seed. Cleveland State (29-5) was the Horizon League regular-season champion with an 18-2 league mark. This is the inaugural year for the WBIT, which is owned and run by the NCAA.
