TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team pounded out 12 hits to back up another strong pitching performance by senior Erin Hunt to defeat Central Michigan 5-1 at Scott Park on Tuesday afternoon in the opener of a three-game series.
The win improved the Rockets to 14-19, 7-8 in Mid-American Conference play, while Central Michigan fell to 16-19, 6-6 MAC.
"I am really proud of our team," head coach Jessica Bracamonte said. "Outstanding performance in the circle against a good hitting team and an impressive showing by our offense against a good pitcher.
