TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team welcomed Western Michigan on Friday and defeated the Broncos, 4-3, in thrilling fashion.
The Rockets' win over WMU was just the fourth in program history.
"We had some really impressive singles performances from Julia [Kuszynski] and Cassie [Alcala], who closed their matches right away which is helpful to the team," head coach said. "I'm so proud of the way Patty [Panta] played down the stretch during those big moments to clinch the match for us. It was a great team effort and I love to watch these girls play for each other every time they step on the court.
