TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team swept its home opener doubleheader vs. Ball State on Friday, taking the opener 7-3 and the nightcap 2-1. The Rockets have now won five straight MAC games and move to 6-2 in league play. Toledo has also won their home opener in each of head coach 's first two seasons.
Toledo received complete-game efforts from both juniors (5-5) and (10-5). Graham struck out three and gave up seven hits in the opening win, while Knight also struck out three batters while allowing just one run scored in the nightcap victory.
