The University of Toledo softball team pulled off its second upset of the Mid-American Conference tournament, beating fourth seed Northern Illinois 11-6 in an elimination game.
Seventh-seeded Toledo (25-26) will take on second seed Kent State in another elimination game at 6 p.m.
The Rockets upset Kent State 4-2 in the opening round of the tournament.
In the win over NIU, Toledo pulled away with four runs in the sixth and six more in the seventh.
Kaitlyn Bergman, Ami Ill, and Katie Cozy each had two hits. Morgan Paaverud had three RBIs, and Kylie Norwood hit a solo home run.
