ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Toledo women's swimming & diving team opened its 2023-24 season with a 167-133 victory at Oakland Friday evening.
Sophomore and freshman each touched first in two individual events. Slegers won the 100 (51.65) and 200 (1:52.63) freestyle events, while Evans took first in the 100 (55.90) and 200 (2:07.49) butterfly events. Evan's 100 butterfly time surpassed Bailey Cahill (55.98/ 2017) for 10th place on Toledo's all-time list.
Rockets collecting one event win were senior in the 1000m (10:39.25), freshman in the 100 backstroke (57.62), freshman in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.63), and junior in the 200 breaststroke (2:28.
