TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team opened its weekend series vs. Bowling Green on Thursday, falling to the Falcons 4-0 at Scott Park.
The Rockets were unable to get much going offensively against BGSU pitching, tallying just two hits in the series opener. A pair of solo home runs gave the Falcons a 2-0 lead, and they added runs in the fifth and ninth innings to bring about the 4-0 final score.
Junior and sophomore each recorded hits for Toledo. Junior made the start on the mound, and senior and freshman finished the game out of the bullpen.
