Last week, the University of Toledo football team got its first taste of how life is different in the age of coronavirus when it comes to home games.
No hotel the night before, instead just showing up that afternoon to eat a pregame meal and do a quick walk-through. That’s to say nothing of the lack of fans in the stands, replaced by cardboard cutouts.
On Wednesday, the Rockets will get their first glimpse at the new normal of life on the road as they travel to Western Michigan.
“How that all gets handled at the hotel will be different,” head coach Jason Candle said at his weekly presser.
