Toledo routed at Central Michigan in regular-season finale

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — The University of Toledo football team saw its regular season come to an end with a 49-7 loss to Central Michigan on Friday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.

The Rockets looked on as the Chippewas (8-4, 6-2 MAC) claimed the Mid-American Conference West Division title with the win and set up a meeting with Miami in the MAC title game.

Meanwhile, Toledo (6-6, 3-5) will now await its uncertain bowl fate after losing three straight games to close the season. Since starting 4-1 after back-to-back wins over BYU and Western Michigan, the Rockets stumbled to a 2-5 record the rest of the way.
