TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's basketball program has received the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award, the association announced on Tuesday. The award is in its 10th year of existence, and the Rockets have received the award on seven occasions.
Toledo's seven NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards leads all Mid-American Conference schools, and the Rockets are the only MAC program to be honored this season. Western Michigan ranks second with four times being recognized and Central Michigan receiving the award on three occasions. Eastern Michigan, Kent State and Miami have been recognized once.
