AKRON, Ohio / WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The University of Toledo women's track and field team closed out its weekend of competition in Akron, Ohio and Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday. The Rockets tallied a total of seven personal-bests and 10 top-10 finishes on the weekend.
At the JDL Camel City Elite in Winston-Salem, senior Petronela Simiuc posted a time of 4:42.40 in the elite mile to place seventh.
"Petronela had another really good day with a cockeyed time that would have been a three-second personal best just two weeks ago," said head coach Andrea Grove-McDonough.
