Toledo, Ohio— The University of Toledo football team opened its 2019 preseason training camp with a pair of split-squad practiced on Friday. The Rockets will host split-squad practices through the weekend, with full-team practices beginning on Tuesday.
"Our strength staff are the heroes of day one," Candle said. "They've worked with these guys all summer, along with our training staff. They did an excellent job of preparing our team to this point. Now it's up to our staff and our seniors to continue to have a really good camp."
Toledo was selected by the Mid-American Conference's media contingent to win the league's West Division, and received the second-most votes to win the MAC Championship Game.
